Hadrian's wall walk · 17 May 2006

We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

This September I will be walking the 84 mile Hadrian's Wall path witha friend (Rick Quinn) to raise money for the NSPCC. Children are our future and I see this not only as an aid to stamping out child abuse but an investment in my and the country's future.

A few facts to consider that may affect your decision when sponsoring me

* I child is killed every week by their parent or carer

* 27% of rape victims are children under the age of 16

* On an average day in Essex there are over 720 children, that we know of, who are considered to be at risk
A big thank you to GNER & C2C Rail for providing travel tickets and sponsorship for Rick and Myself
